Former Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes Arsenal centre- half William Saliba will become the best central defender in the world in the next three years.
Ferdinand said: “I think he (Saliba) will be the best defender in the world when Virgil van Dijk is past his prime. As soon as that happens, which could be in a year or three years, when that happens, I don’t see anyone at the moment who can compare to him.”
“The only person I see or the one I think is a competitor to him and the closest to him is Leni Yoro. But I think with Saliba, we see him playing with a sense of ease. He’s confident, classy, strong, elegant and has everything you need in a centre-half.”
